Question Vote for your favorite Cayenne Color

I have an 05 order that is being placed tomorrow and I am between the Jarama Beige and Basalt Black....any thoughts? I do know that I am going with the Havanne Beige/ Smooth Leather option and light olive wood.

You should just rename your poll:

"What color is your Cayenne?"

Talking

Avoid stupid nonpractical inside color, like beige , better select black for inside (w aluminum sporty combo, but NOT WOOD ).

Best combos for Cayenne are:

DARK BLUE SEE/black
black/black
silver/black,
titanium/black.

all other color combos

Havanna Beige (which we have, with Lapis Blue) looks nice, but it is a PITA to keep clean and tends to show every bit of dirt.

If you like to wash or are committed to keeping it clean go with Basalt black otherwise Jarma beige is great. Silver is ok but there are alot out there. Lapis blue looks fantastic but is more of a feminine color IMHO.

I am the type of person that will not go anywhere until the car is clean...even if the forcast calls for rain the next day
I have an 00 boxster in black so I know what you mean about keeping it clean.

I am the same way when it comes to my Porsche's. My Dakota hasn't been washed in months (work truck, dirty 2 min after being washed) I owned a black 911 for 19 years. Great car but had to sell it because the paint always drove me crazy trying to keep it clean and free of scratches or swirls, that and it was time for a more practical Porsche.

I have to agree with Blade-MD on this. I was really taken by the Jarama Beige, I have no regrets and it looks clean even if it is dirty. The only way to tell if it is dirty is by looking at the windows or rims. The Beige has good contrast with the trim and windows especially now that I have the roof rails.

Did you decide to buy from Ray Catena? Good luck

Can you post a pic of the roof rails?

I am starting to agree with the contrast of the color and trim...my wife LOVES the Jarama Beige color. She says that it just makes the truck look more elegant.
I think it sets the truck apart from the rest of the MILF wagons on the road.

I spoke to your friend at Jason at Jack Daniels, great guy....when I spoke to him he did not have any allocations left for November. Then I signed with Paul Miller because he is changing a November build that they already had allocated....then last night Jason called and said he had another November allocation
I really wanted to go with Ray Catena, but they would not match the prices I had. Schneiner Nelson $70,800 and Paul Miller $70,400 Jack Daniels was also very competetive ...the MSRP is $76,650

Any reason why you don't like Paul Miller?

I would recommend viewing bassalt black in person before ordering. I saw them side by side when I got mine and to me bassalt looks like "dusty black" or "dirty black" compared to black. I went with black. Harder to keep clean but nothing looks better when clean.

Truble10,

I do agree that Porsches look best in Black. Keeping a 911 in black clean was an endless job. How do you find the time to clean the miles of paint on the Cayenne?

TimC,

I sent you a PM.

I think it is time to get a new camera. This is all I could get on the roof rails before the battery died again.

Wow the roof rails look great !! Do they come off easy? Like when winter comes and you need to put your ski racks on?? Can you disclose how much you paid on Ebay for them?
