If your brake pedal is getting "spongy" then that would indicate you are getting fluid boil and need a higher temp fluid. If the pedal isn't spongy but the vehicle isn't stopping as well, that would indicate pad fade.
I wouldn't be too critical of your shop for using ATE Super Blue. It's a great fluid and unless your pedal is getting spongy their wouldn't be any reason for them to recommend a more expensive alternative to you.

Hey Renn 951,
How can a brake pedal get "spongy" when a brake-by-wire system is not connected to the actual braking components other than via computer? Not being a wise guy, I just don't get it.

The cayS on the track at the end of the second run session has a very spongy pedal but the car will stop with a little pump first. I appreciate your description of the two and mine would then be secondary to fluid boil. Im going to change my fluid as a 911 racer has already suggested and consider bleeding my lines after the second run. Thanks for you help and love your 951!

Motul 600 is a great alternative and is what I used in my Audi S4 when I used to track it (ATE Super Blue messes up the clutch for some unknown reason on Audi's.) It's only slightly more expensive than Super Blue but can be hard to find at automotive stores. Your best bet is to go to a motorcycle shop -- Motul 600 is very popular with the bikers.
