Combined city/highway in San Francisco(worst streets in the world) I get a nice 11 mpg average. That's not too bad since compared to my 996 I get 13 mpg combined. My previous ML320 averaged 13.8. IMO-most if not all SUVS suck in mpg but the peppermobile is worlds apart from other SUV's in the fun factor : ). Regards. Mike

I appear to be the odd duck, as my S gets between 17-19 average mpg consistently...no idea why. On straight highway cruise control, 20mpg.
I can go 400 miles before the 'low fuel' warning comes on and after a fill up, my estimated range is ~ 485 (although I've seen 555 miles once after a fill up).

Have just completed 1500 miles in my V6, average being 16mpg. Did a 160 mile round trip over the weekend, mostly on open roads/motorways ~ resetting the 'computer' before I set out and it sneaked up to 25. Few more local miles since, it is down to 23.
