Default 2006 Cayenne Turbo S

hello there! new to this forum and just re purchased my ex rig an 06 Cayenne Turbo S yesterday (83k miles) non running due to "ignition lock" message on the dash. will be towed to my local Indy today and see what's going on. i originally bought this rig 4 years ago (80k miles) from a retired jet fighter pilot in Texas and sold to a fam member so i got the first dib when she had enough of it. the rig is in amazing condition and does have an Evom 600 package.

We need to see some photos of this thing lol.

I would think maybe a steering wheel rack/ column . I've read that some need to have that replaced with the ignition lock message.

But if you don't want to fix it... The 955 has a special place in my heart.

She only drove it 3k miles in 4 years? Geez, that's worse than me.

Probably the circuit board in the steering column needs to be removed and repaired. Think it's about $300 to have it repaired once it's removed.

Did it rain or was the car washed lately? Check for dampness in the driver side footwell under the carpet. There is some shoddy wiring located underneath that area which is prone to get wet when the sunroof drains clog up. That was the issue with mine. Repaired myself for about $10 and two hours of time. Good luck.

How did this only cost you $10 to fix? I had this issue in my T1

So many questions, was it only you who was targeted? Is the whole neighborhood trashcan less?
