PHC Unavailable

PHC Unavailable
“the Porsche drive off assistant(manual transmission) is not available”, it’s briefly discussed on page 188 in the manual. No specific fuse is shown for it. That’s the warning light I get, Ute drives normally otherwise.
Ute in question is an 08 Cayenne GTS
Any other three pedal Ute owners encounter this before?
thanks

Nothing like that with my M/T GTS.
Do you have a Durametric for resetting?

Only had the Ute for a few weeks, spent most of the time cleaning and detailing. TPMS warning is gone, wasn’t reading a broken sensor…now just the PHC. Will be driving it this week to shake every down, and will head out to my local Indy for the scan.

This is also known “Porsche’ Hill Control” assist, I believe you are inquiring about.
This feature prevents the car from rolling black when taking off uphill for manual transmission vehicles.
I have manual GTS, you will get the warning light if your parking brake is not released completely and you start driving.
The warning light goes away if your parking brake is 100% released and you restart the car.
Your parking brake damper under the dash might be on the way out. P/N 95542338900

PHC Unavailable doesn’t pop up till moments after driving away…BRAKE light for the ebrake is not on. I reset everything, a short drive tomorrow will tell if that did anything.

Pulls the switch apart today, and checked for function. Two sets of contacts, one normally open, the second is normally closed. Both change state when the switch arm is activated.
It ain’t the damper, it ain’t the switch…

Still looking for a solution…a FB post from the 955/957 owners group, suggested dirty gas pedal contacts.
So…removed the pedal assembly(3-T30 screws), and unplugged the connector to it. 5-6 Phillips screws to separate the pieces on the pedal switch assembly, and electronic contact cleaner sprayed on all parts. Gas pedal works fine, always has.
Contacts did not look dirty/worn(133k miles on this Ute).
Reinstalled, PHC Unavailable still there.
I’ve read thru threads were tiptronic versions of this Ute had that warning, and it took dealer programming to eliminate. Appointment scheduled in mid November for this Ute.
Previous owner said the warning would “come and go”…it’s always and everyday now. Ute performs flawlessly, just that damn yellow exclamation point in the gauge cluster!!!!!

No resolution for this issue…and I’m done with it.
-ebrake damper in working order, pushes pedal back into contact with the switch
-ebrake switch in working order
-clutch pedal switch in working order-word to the wise…don’t remove to test. They’re like the messages in any Mission Impossible movie, they apparently self destruct in 10 seconds after removal.
-gas pedal contacts clean
I found mention of contact’s located between the firewall’s to do with the clutch or brake pedal. I just didn’t feel like pulling the wiper blades(seemed like the hood had to come off to access actually) to get that plastic cover off and look there.
so, I’ll end this thread with no resolution.
Kinda a recent theme with these 957 GTS’s in my possession currently
