I'm getting the Curt hitch, but have not priced out the required electronic (control unit, wiriing etc) has anyone performed this recently and know the cost of materials and labor?

doesnt curt support 6000 lbs while the factory the full 7700? for the trailers i'm thinking about, 1700 lbs makes or breaks the deal...
