Hello, recently purchased 2009 Cayenne GTS.
I have been searching on the forum for some time and could not find exact behavior for my issue. When I initiate tailgate open via either remote or inside the cabin button latch opens and tailgate lifts up to 3 inches then stops beeping three times. Needs to be closed manually pressing close button gives same result multiple beeps, however I hear the pump working.
There are no errors from Durametric like here https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...e-problem.html. I tried to reset height via procedure in the manual, doesn't help. Checked fuses, they are fine. Battery recently replaced, ~6 months ago, by the previous owner, I have receipt and installation confirmation.
It beeps three times which mean it thinks there are obstacle, where are the sensors located, cannot find it via PET?

How does it work if you help it? Guessing the struts need to be replaced.

IT keeps beeping, doesn't help if I push it manually up while pressing the button. Also there are no shock, afaik, only cylinder #6

Push the open button once and when it pops it loose, help it immediately to prevent it from stalking and see if it will go all the way up.

Nothing, same, motor noise for a second and beeping, I even tried to open hatch glass and holding it while trying to open tailgate to reduce pressure on it, no.

does it operate normally if you use the latch above the license plate?

disconnect the battery for few hours and see if it resets

have you tried manually lifting it all the way open and then pressing and holding the close hatch switch (this sets the height)

Thanks, same behavior when I use latch above the license plate, also I did reset height like @Libast suggested, same.
I will try disconnecting battery and let you know @Petrolhead_007 .

Update: Tried disconnecting battery for couple of hours and charged it completely, same, behavior changed slightly, It is latch that doesn't open fully if I use remote button and button inside the car, I will try replacing latch. However, trunk button opens latch correctly and it is same behavior, beeps three times and stops after 2-3cm.
