Default New Cayenne owner !

Hello ya'll, new to the Porsche game and picked me up an '05 CAyenne turbo !
She runs pretty good for having 194,000 on the clock but is throwing a few codes that need attention i need help with is 1. 0955 & 0956 key 1, & key2 > below lower limit exceeded.
2. 0192 door handle Proximity sensor rear left > open circuit.
So, when i shut off car and turn the dummy key to the left for the 2 seconds, upon trying to exit the car the door will not open, it takes like 20 times to push lock/unlock door lock button and or combination of keyfob presses to finally get the door to unlock. Im hoping and praying its just that rear door sensor cause the issues. So, what sensor is needed to replace ? a sensor that has some pigtail or is it a sensor in the door handle and have to replace the door handle or ? Dont know what i need to replace that proximity sensor.
Issue # 2 would be the front brake pads need replaced, is there anything special like specialty tools or anything needed to do the job ? Would there be a write up on it somewheres ?
Bought a set of these
Bosch BE1014 Blue Disc Brake Pad Set for 2007-15 Audi Q7, 2003-10 Porsche Cayenne, and 2004-10 Volkswagen Touareg - FRONT Bosch BE1014 Blue Disc Brake Pad Set for 2007-15 Audi Q7, 2003-10 Porsche Cayenne, and 2004-10 Volkswagen Touareg - FRONT

Also the spare keyfob is not working, put in a fresh new battery and nothing. Was going try and take that original keyfob apart and see whats up, clean the button contacts and what not but that bugger fob wont come apart at all, LoL.

Car also came with all the original paper work like the certificate of authenticity and window sticker, Porsche service receipts, and it came with the original wheels with a nice set of snow tires !

Welcome. The turbos are great suvs.

Get the special brake pad dampener kits from Suncoast parts. They have prongs that clip into the caliper pistons and rubber pads that stick to the brake pads and are really the best out there to prevent brake squeal. Also get new pad wear sensors as they're hard to remove without breaking them.

Other than these, nothing special required.

With the silver trim, the car will look better with silver wheels.

Right on, im ne of brighton. I dunno squat about these cars, i am very mechanically inclined though and have lots of car repair "home mechanic" experience. This door look issue is driving me nuts though as its just throwing that code for the rear door sensor, i tried to look around for it but didnt come up with much as to a replacement.

Regarding key remote battery voltage, the ones in my 2004 S last only about half a year. I measure the CR2032 battery voltage when I put a new one in, and it is up around 3.5V (the nominal battery voltage of these is 3.0V, even saying it on the battery).

And the voltage of the one I replace (flagged by the car as being low) is around 3.0V. Not what I would normally consider low.

I'm just mentioning all that in case you're measuring 3.0V and thinking that is enough to make the car happy again.

And only one of the headlights on the remote key lights up when pressing a button.

Lucky for you with the 2005. 2003-2004 have to make do with only two buttons on the remote.

Theres only 2 buttons on my remotes, trunk and the one main lock/unlock.
Also the buttons do not seem to do anything.

I take it the proximity sensor is in the door handle and the whole handle needs to be replaced or just the sensor ? No reprograming necessary ? I want to try and replace that first and see if that is the cause/source of my unlock lock issues .

Here is the part:
https://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/o...9556379440601c

You're right, they did not add the 3rd button until 2006, according to that page. I had always thought they figured it out sooner.

Some things are a little weird with the 2-button remote (but if you have the power lift gate / hatch, things will be different):
- lock / unlock button - if the car is locked and you press once, it unlocks the driver's door. If you press a second time within about a second (but not too short, not too long) the second press will unlock the remaining 3 doors as well. If any doors are unlocked and you press that button, all doors will lock.
- trunk / hatch / liftgate - pressing it "unlocks" it. But nothing actually moves. There is no click or movement at all. You then need to lift up on the liftgate handle (which has a button inside it) to unlatch and then lift the hatch. If you press and hold that button, the glass will unlock, unlatch, and pop up a half inch and fall back down. Clearly visible. There is also a tiny button on the inside of the little handle that lifts the glass. Similarly hold that in to unlock the window. There is also a manual switch inside the driver's door lower pocket to similarly unlock the liftgate, and it is similarly completely silent.
