I'm following this thread. I get P0344 every once in a while:
P0344

So I tried a few more things quickly today. With car running I remove the cam sensor plugs from each bank. Car keeps running. Deviation values disappear as soon as you disconnect bank 2 as you would expect. No change on bank 1 just zero's. (I wonder if that autel maxsys might show something slightly different when doing this). Soon as I disconnect bank 2 cam sensor it throws a code for that sensor.

Disconnect cam solenoid control wires with the car running. Throws two cam solenoid codes as you would expect.

With car idling im seeing 3volts out of one pin on the cam solenoid and 14volts on the other pin. Same for both banks.

There is NOTHING wrong with a damn thing on the wiring of this car as far as I can tell.

Im talking to boosted euro now and inquiring if he can program another ecu for me to suit this car as I have another complete cayenne turbo here I can steal that from.

The only other thing I can think to do is open the ecu up and check for dry or cracked solder joints.

As far a im concerned it can only be the ecu or timing chain wear or maybe the bank 1 phaser at this point.

I dont have any code yet, but Im exploring this issues since my cam actual angles dont match specified. See here: https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...specified.html
Before I start checking things, can some explain to me what and where these sensors/actuators are:

1. Cam phaser?
2. Cam shaft sensor? I aw mentioned above to try also reseating the ECU electrical connector that contains the contacts for bank 1 camshaft sensor. I just dont know there this sensor is.

Cam solenoid (I know this one, its at the fron of each bank, between the cams, with the black plastic cover over it.

Thanks
