I'm new to this forum and I apologies if I'm posting in the wrong forum.

I'm in desperate need of help. My car was hit lightly on the passenger side between both doors but both of them opened and closed easily. While the body shop was doing the repair, he must have done something to the lock mechanism because when he closed the door, it no longer opens. He dissembled the door from the inside to access the latch mechanism and you can see when you pull the handle cable, the latch moves. You can also see the lock engage and disengage with the key fob. But for days, he can't get the door to open.

I read the Inoperable Door Latch Fix in the DYI section but none of that seems applicable since that only addresses an issue when the door is still open.

Any help is much appreciated.

I think this is a link to the same article I referenced and requires the door to be open. My door is already closed and I can't get it opened.
