Default Junkyard Wish List

I'm headed to a couple salvage yards on Monday to grab a few parts for my 955. The junkyards I'm going to have four 955s between them, but I don't know the engines/trim/condition/etc. Anyone need anything while I'm going? Also, any suggestions on spare parts I should grab while I'm there to keep on hand? Let me know if you need something and I'll keep a list. If you'll be in the VA area at some point, I'm happy to hold parts or ship parts, whatever you need. Just thought I'd throw the offer out there. Thanks.

I am looking for the following:
-A black HVAC vent for the drivers side dash and for the rear of the center console (mine seem to get stuck sometimes when people adjust them)
-The center console cup holder insert in black
-Both side view mirrors (I want to repaint another set without taking mine off)
-Extra screws for the fender liners (always losing these)
-Extra hardware for the beauty covers for the engine bay (always losing these)

I need a left front fender and a hood for a TLC80, 94/95, preferably green. and an ARB bar if in good condition.

Seriously though, if you see any let me know.

I'm actually looking for a hitch myself so hopefully there's two, we'll see. As far as the electrical components, where do they hide them on Cayennes? In the spare tire compartment or in one of the rear storage slots?

I've checked all the local junkyards within a few hours of me and the only Land Cruiser I found was a Gray 1998, but there aren't any pictures of it. If the parts are the same I can look at it when I go and let you know?

OP, nice offer - kudos.

nodoors, I think I have a spare driver's side mirror from a 957 Turbo S. Can't see that I'll need it. Looks like the going rate on eBay is $130 plus shipping.

I think it's just the housing - no glass, but will need to go look.

How's $140 shipped, unless you'll be down near Clemson soon, and then I'll do $125 for pick-up.

Do a search there are a couple tech PDFs that walk through the removal process. But yes, the controller is hidden pretty well and all the wiring needs to come out in one piece. The hitch itself is easy. Note the controller is year specific so watch the PNs to match what you need.

But yes, the 955s are showing up in the NoVA pick-a-parts which is nice. The bonus is all the parts are cheap AF as they are priced like any other junk. IIRC the trailer hitch I pulled was like $60 with controller.

Oh, I need a tan rear center vent if you find a minty one. Probably all of $10 in a yard. But it is hard to find one with all the louvers in place.

I could use a gray center console/armrest. Mine's knackered.

Thanks for the info @Pillow, I'll look into it.

I'm hoping for some gray interior knick knacks myself, but there just don't seem to be many grays out there, mostly black or tan. I'll definitely look for you though, @Shawn Stanford.

I just picked up a tow package and electrical components this past weekend. Nothing else on the car to save. I did not find a single source for this detail on removal but I can write something up if you message me. (Pillow above is right).
If you get a hitch, there are 4 screws on electrical connector by hitch are likely way corroded and heads twist off easily. Look for least corroded before you remove it -I wish I did

I need a (left) driver side armrest tan cover for the 4 window switches. previous owners wife must have had long fingernails

Thanks much, however the body style changed in 1998.

@TRINITONY , go figure. Well, I'll keep it in mind.

@reachme , haha, sounds good, I'll try to get one. Can you just type up a few tips here so maybe it'll be searchable in the future? I know how to uninstall the hitch, just not sure where the electrical setup is hidden. Thanks!

perhaps a little late, but if you managed to get a bonnet badge, and could ship internationally I'm after one!

@h_____ , I'm not going till this coming Monday so we're good. Oh boy, shipping to the UAE? That could be tough. I shipped some small pieces to Canada last time I made a junkyard run, but the UAE could be difficult. How do you usually receive items, UPS/DHL/etc.? Not sure of the shipping cost, but it probably won't be cheap.
