Default How to tell when my next oil change is due?

I just bought a new to me 2009 Porsche Cayenne a couple weeks ago. Trying to figure out when is the next oil change is due. Is there a way to view when is my next oil change due through the instrumentation panel?

Also trying to find an Owners Manual - (Porsche site only goes back to 2011)

Any help much appreciated!

Was it dealership serviced? Throw your VIN into the MyCARFAX app on your phone. You might be able to see the lastest service history records.

The computer should tell you when it's due, but, not exactly when it was done.

LexVan, thank you for the heads up on MyCARFAX app! I plugged in my VIN and found out that the oil was changed about 5K miles / 6 Months ago. Love the app - had all the service records going back to when the car was new, good to know! Cheers! ~StartupNation

Glad for you. Use the app to log your own service history, too.

Congrats on the new Cayenne.

Change the oil every 5,000 miles or every year, whichever happens sooner, and don't follow the oil change mileage guidelines in the owners manual or from the on board computer.

I agree. It's not the oil, it's the dirt and contaminants that it accumulates. Auto oil filters haven't advanced enough to keep up with the potential service life of syn oil.

With Every Used Car I have ever bought, Dealer or not.. 1st thing I do is change the oil and check the air filters etc... doesn't cost that much and then you 100% know when it was done, with what fluids etc...

Congrats on the New Wheels!
