I'm trying to restore it from the PO who scratched the black horse on the emblem.

I can't seem to find it online. Anybody know the part number or do I have to buy the whole steering wheel airbag cover?

 

Have you checked with Suncoast. I'm pretty sure they have them for the 997 airbags. Might even be the same one.

Contacted SunCoast and they have a good point. This is what they said:

That crest only comes as part of the airbag and not sold separate. The airbag is designed so the emblem doesn't hit you in case of the airbag going off during an accident.

I'll try to see if I can find a used cover with a good condition crest.

 

That is an excellent point. Can you imagine that thing coming off during a deployment. If the accident that caused it to deploy didn't seriously injure you, the crest that becomes a projective certainly could.

Good plan.

(Certainly better than having a takata grenade in your face!)
