I simply must have the side marker light become turn signals.

OK Boys and Girls........ here's what I have found so far on this topic......
Reading Volume 0 - Cayenne Diagnostics Manual, page 97 talks about the various programming that can be performed via the PST2 to the Cayenne's On-Board Computer Network Control Module. Here's a list of the functions that can be programmed/modified:
This is a one-page PDF of the relevant page from the workshop manual.
Sorry for the poor quality, but check out the 6th entry from the bottom of the list!

Slightly OT: But....
Michael,
I seem to recall that you wanted to add the compass? It, too, has its own control unit under the passenger's seat. And you have to enable it with a PST2 as well. Boy, I wish I could get my hands on the software and the interface cable!
It's amazing what you find in the factory manuals!

Mike,
When you talk with your dealer, point him/her at page 2990 of the Caeynne Group 0 Diagnostics Manual.
Man, I'll bet dealers really don't like the fact that I have a set of manuals! There's nothing like being, at a minimum, on equal footing and at times even ahead of the curve!

The only thing i could get was that it was not a programmable item on US models, there was talk about ROW cars having the feature.
There was also a hack that was described but it sounded to hoky for me

Thanks, I see on the 997s it is possible, and read a couple places about when importing a USA car for ROW that the dealer fixed this for them via PIWIS (Posted in 2008 so may be a 957 feature).
Only other solution I have seen is the wiring one someone posted here but doesn't work well.
I spent 30 minutes trying some stuff in durametric, disabling the marker light mode, which someone else had off that was not in the USA and a few other hunches. None worked. It seems like is should be computer controlled. If I force the DRLs on via the durametric, it turns on all the side marker lights even if the headlights are switched off (not sure if that is the expected behavior)
So it is positively computer controlled as I can turn them on and off with durametric. The ROW seems to flash the blinker, then goes off and flash the corner, in order to alternate, which makes sense if you have the markers on at night.
Anyone from EU with a durametric want to do a module scan and post here?
