Has anyone had issues with their Android head unit bluetooth not working? It syncs all the time with my iPhone but no audio or microphone when I make a call. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Do Android head units actually work with Apple phones? Seems like the BT profiles might be different. To use an iPhone, don't you need Apple car play or something like that? I can't help much more than posing that question as I don't own a single Apple device.

My Iphone works fine with the Android head unit. In fact, I don't automatically connect because I don't like it taking over the call. There may be a setting in the head unit regarding phone calls.
From the Q&A on that product, it looks like it will work as long as you can download the Autokit App or APK, so I'd go to the Apple store and try that before buying, but if you can get the app, then I think it will work for you.

I have the setting not to auto answer but when I make a call or try to receive a call it will connect but no audio or microphone. I'm wondering if I just need that app or just buy the Apple carplay. I will try the app first but I wouldn't think I need an app to use bluetooth to answer a call.
EDIT: I don't care if I can play music from my iPhone. I just want to be able to make and receive calls.
One thing to check is head unit volume - Yeah, I know, sounds stupid. Different things on my head unit have different volume levels. For instance, when I blue tooth music or pod casts from my phone, I need to turn the head unit volume way up to hear. When answering the phone, the volume is fine. Maybe yours is reversed

If you look in the manual that came with your head unit, there should be a setting for volume compensation for the different inputs or outputs so you don't have to do that. It should have one set as a baseline (maybe the FM tuner ) and then let you raise or lower the volume of the other inputs (CD, BT phone, USB etc) to match that with a compensation factor.

I'll look at that tonight. I ordered Apple carplay yesterday from Amazon. Maybe that will help too. I'll post my findings.

Mine didn't come with a manual, but I will check Seicane's website to see. Sounds exactly like what I need
