Mirrors quirky 2008 Cayenne GTS
Have been having mirror issues for a little while - mainly the passenger mirror wasn't dipping down in reverse (or if it did, many times it wouldn't come back up automatically). Now, there's no predictable pattern to the mirror **** inside the car. Can't control the driver side mirror at all, and the passenger side only moves when the **** is set to the left hand mirror. Was originally thinking this was just a problem with the right mirror motor. Obviously now, something bigger is going on. Any ideas where the problem might be and what might be necessary to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for response... I replaced the switch. Didn't really fix anything. Curious about the comment about footwell carpet/area getting wet. To my knowledge no (I've had since 2013) but why are you asking? Is there something down there I should look at? Anything else I should be looking at as well?

The front cowl drain is a main culprit as it has a rubber fitting on it that is designed to let water out, but not in just in case you're crossing a river. The problem is that any just that finds it's way past the cowl fills up these rubber fittings (pine needles, dirt, leaves, etc) and eventually they don't drain anymore so when you drive in the rain, the water comes into the passenger compartment and soaks the floor under the carpet and the pad, and that wiring bundle.
Here's the junk that came out of my driver's side drain grommet. The holes are accessible after removing the front wheelwell liners. I've since left the grommet off since my Cayenne will never be fording rivers, so they don't get clogged up in the future and debris can just pass through the holes.
