Cool IE81 power performance parts for 08 CTT

I have an 08 CTT (purchased at 103k miles, currently at 110k miles) that will be adding the IE81 performance parts pretty soon.

My intake manifold came in last night and it looks amazing! I'll need to get an IPD Intake plenum to work with this Turbo S intake manifold. Unless you guys know of a more cost effective version like a silicon hose version? Any well known vendors that make these?

I've thought about running the 3" primary cat bypass from HHR, but for now I went with the 3" secondary bypass w/ resonators from HHR (arriving next week).

My current mod list:
EVOMSit Stage 2 software
EVO V-Flow intake
Tubi Exhaust

This is the car I've purchased http://sharkwerks.com/porsche/cayenn...t-led-drl.html but currently looks much different than it is in this link since it is an old blog post. The car now has black front grills and black powder coated wheels. PO removed the TechArt LED DRL before I purchased it. I'll post some pics at another time.

Made sure that my engine is also clear from cylinder bore scoring by doing a Blackstone oil analysis.

I have the OEM Turbo S intake Y-pipe from my 09 TTS if it would fit your car. Photos and pricing are in my parts for sale thread - https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-marketplace/1098299-fs-cayenne-957-turbo-s-parts-leftover-from-my-recent-widbody-build.html#post15316491

Removed at 28,000 miles and looks brand new.

Thanks for the offer. I've decided I actually want to go with the IPD plenum.

I was wondering if anybody know if the stock CTT intake manifold throttle body electronics would be the same as the CTTS intake manifold throttle body? Plug and play? or is coding needed? I already have an EVOMSit Stage 2 tune.

I finally had the chance to work on my own car for once in a long time. Been too busy working on other peoples cars. I got the IE81 manifold installed along with the IPD Turbo S plenum. Pretty straight forward installation. I've noticed at 116k miles that my intake valves are caked to the max. I'll definitely revisit and have these get cleaned/scrubbed well. As good as this car pulls right now, I'm sure this is robbing some extra horsepower.

I've also caught a coolant leak on one of the pipes. =X

Once I get some HHR primary downpipes, and 3" Xover midpipe, I'll be looking for a tune. PM me your tune info and quote.

DFI woes. What approach are you going to use to clean them?

I was going to find a shop to do a walnut blasting but I ended up taking off the intake manifold again and cleaned them myself with CRC intake valve cleaner. I used the fill intake valve and scrub method with wire brush and long pick tools. It took about 2 hours but saved me about $600+ for getting them done at an independent shop.

I started up the car, waited for the smoke screen to clear my neighborhood, and gave it a drive around the block. It pulls much harder/stronger based off of the butt-dyno.

But then again, it could be the combination of the new Turbos S manifold's 84mm throttle body, IPD plenum, and intake valve cleaning all working together for the nice bump in power.

I highly recommend getting your intake valves cleaned if you haven't done it yet. At 116k miles they were so bad and I don't think previous owner ever got them cleaned. A must for DFI engines.

I used to clean my buddies 335i N54 every 15k miles and it was baaad every single time.

I was considering the same approach. How painful is it to remove the intake manifold? I've looked at the Pelican article on it and it seems not terrible but hose and electrical connectors are the bane of my existence and there are a lot of them in the way...

Fairly easy since the intake manifold is only bolted down by those 10 torx bolts. Just remove all of the black trim that's around the engine bay and then the front intake plenum. There's only a total of like 3 harness plugs to undo at the very front, which only plug back in the same area. I think you'll be able to remove everything in 30-45 mins.

Have you seen a big difference in pickup or power from the changes?
