Default I need a bluetooth radio unit

I have a 2004 Cayenne Turbo and I want to swapout my OEM Radio. I went to an Audio Shop and they told me that it will run me $1,700 with the Fiber optics kit, radio, and installation kit. That is too much for me. Do you have any suggestions to add bluetooth? I was wondering if I could put in a 2010 cayenne radio in my 2004? Or possibly a bluetooth kit that connects to the factory radio. I already tried the FM bluetooth kit and it sounds horrible.

I think lots of people on here just ditch the OEM radio entirely and go for an aftermarket Android one.

Welcome to the forum Corey,

Take a look at: https://www.dension.com/automotive/products - you do want to make certain that your 2004 has a PCM that's compatible with the dension products. The top of the line one also provides inputs for external audio, USB music storage and iPod support.

Adding bluetooth audio to 2.1 PCM will cost you about $125.00 all in. Send your PCM to Becker autosound. They will add an aux out for $100.00, connect this to bluetooth receiver and you are in business.I used Kinivo BTC450. Sound is CD quality.http://www.beckerautosound.com/porsche

I bought my Dynavin N7 a few months back and love it! It also looks like a modern OEM HU versus the original HU.

You might be interested in this as well... a way to keep your fader after leaving OEM.

I've been looking at the OEM Look, Andoid based units like those form Seicane etc... I know some will crap on the quality... but I like the Plug and play nature, and moderate cost. I have seen reviews of others that have been happy.

contacted Dynavin and they informed me their FM tuners don’t receive HD radio signals. How 2004 is that?

The 9" androids are AWESOME. Total blast. Watch Netflix and Prime Video all the time at my daughter's soccer practices, Amazon Music, Pandora, Youtube streaming is great, Waze is great, 9" is a seriously nice sized screen, gives it a very modern look. Between this and an aftermarket sub, it's a really modern alternative. Now, at lease the Seicanes are NOT bluetooth, but hotspot. I asked them recently if their newer units did bluetooth and the answer was no. I just turn on hotspot while walking to the car all the time, no big deal.

I put an app together for android that turns on the wifi hotspot on my phone when it connects to the unit via bluetooth. It works pretty well.
After two years of good sound with no alternator whine, my stereo has suddenly started making the ground loop noise that others have complained about. I have made no changes, and it happens whether the volume is up or down. I strongly suspect the MOST box.
