Default The most reliable V8 Cayenne in the world.

Has anyone seen this? A builder in Russia installed a Toyota 3UZ-FE engine into a Cayenne. I bet this is the most reliable Cayenne on the road right now.

Is there more information out there on this build? Other than about 30 hp, what functionality did it lose?

I am just guessing that by the looks of his shop and the fact that they use "gloves"to soak up that trans fluid, that they did not spend the time on the CanBus side of things. Which in the Cayenne is a whole lot. Dash functionality, psm, abs, immobilizer, etc. There are over 40 control units in the Cayenne and most of them are connected to the bus network/gateway/dme.

Reminds me of a Msgt I knew in the service in the 70s who bought '63 split-window 'Vette and spend weeks in the base auto hobby shop yanking the 327 4-spd and fitting it with a Plymouth 383 and push-button automatic. When he was finished, it drove like a snowplow.
