Navigation CD Unreadable error
Hello,
I recently got the Navigation CD's for my TT and I am getting a CD unreadable error when I put them into the drive. The CD's are 2003 for PCM version 3 and I did confirm that the PCM software is version 3.0. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?
After 5 days the best the dealer could come up with was to check the software version. Yes, I did tell them that I had already done that when I first called. I, and the dealer apparently, are at a loss. I am going on 5 weeks with no Navigation. I really hate having buttons that don't work....
Thanks,

I was thinking the PCM was "confused" or perhaps "whacked" but I always prefer using the technical term....

3.0 is the latest version of the operating system, here's a long shot, coat the disks with a RainX coating and try again.
Have you tried another set of discs ?

The RainX is an interesting idea. I have never heard of that before but I did notice some others having problems with a rubbing noise with the Nav discs. Have you tried it before?
I have not tried another set of discs although both East and West do the same thing. It took me three weeks to get the set of discs I have. I will call NavTech tomorrow and have them send out another set to be sure that is not the problem.

I am also thinking the player needs to be replaced.
What update are you referring to? What TSR? My dealer has no idea what to do so I would love to point them in the right direction. Are the TSR's on alldata? Does Renntech have the Cayenne TSR's?
