Default Picked up my Cayenne Yesterday

I am a very happy camper.

I now have a Titanium/Black TT in my garage. Good company for the 996 TT.

Drives wonderfully however I do have a few minor issues....

Headlamps have water droplets on the inside of the lens

Steering wheel is off center to the left

Navigation system make a noise like the disc is rubbing something when it spins.

ANyone know a good place to tap to switched (ignition) power for a V1 radar detector?

Great ride, good luck.

Hole in plastic lense cover gasket allows hot air out when lights are on. Necessary to stop lens burst with trapped expanded hot air. It also allows moist air in, hence some initial fogging. Turn on lights it will go away quickly.

Great looking ride, love the color combination (te he)

For the V1 use spare 48 on the fuse box, accessed when the door is open, drvers side.

The condensation does not go away with the light on. I have heard there is a fix by adding new desiccant to the light fixtures.

Sounds like you have exxcess blinker fluid in the car. Just give it some time, it should work itself out.

BTW, is that rust on the rotors?

desiccant, isn't that what's in the shipping packets to reduce moisture?

David I would sure like to know about that, I never heard of it. Good luck, but please post; thanks.

Yes that is rust on the rotors. I spent the day washing it in my garage and since it was still raining, I never drove it.

Yes that is the same stuff. Actually I first heard about it when my cousin ordered new OEM lights from Porsche for his 1987 911. The lights came with desiccant for both light to keep them clear an moisture free.

Nice purchase!

We got our Turbo almost 3 weeks ago, still only has 180 miles on it.

Anyway, we had the condensation problem as well but it has gone away.
I think it only happens after the car sees rain or after a good wash.
We haven't washed ours yet but this week after the roads dry up I will give it a wash and see if it reoccurs.

You might want to ask the dealer to re check the allignment. Seems few people have issues with this and uneven tire wear. Tell them to check it before setting the steering wheel center.

For the PCM, ours makes a faint noise like it's asking for a CD but no scratching sounds

Enjoy your car, it's truly awesome.

Default car reposessed

180 miles in three weeks, I am afraid this leads to automatic reposession of the vehicle and its subsequent allocation to someone who will really appreciate it. Now 1800 in three weeks I might have let you off....

I have a TT in Westchester..same color ext./int. and the 19" painted crests. Simply love the car. Best of luck with yours.. Mine has been virtually trouble free. Don't even consider taking it out in snow or ice with that wheel tire combo.

Thanks for the tip. I already ordered 18" turbo wheels with snow tires already.
