Original cardan shaft???? How is that even possible! No way it's the original bearing.

I did one of the flex shaft upgrade kits at about 80k and haven't touched it since. I thought the bearing was forward of that, but I may be wrong.

How many miles since? I plan on doing the Jimmy fix on mine when it dies, again. The PO replaced mine at 40k miles.

2006 S 123,000 replaced drive shaft, ac evaporator blower motor, all of the standard maintenance stuff, headliner (the typical rear sag) rear hatch shocks, headlights (hopelessly fogged) control arms, water pipes and starter, but that is about it. Engine transmission and suspension and steering perfect, braking system except for pads perfect, fuel system perfect

2004 S

230000KM. No major issues.
Coolant pipes replaced by Porsche many years ago.

I had had to replace the return pipe from the oil cooler heat exchanger as it was leaking coolant everywhere.

Changed front right wheel bearing and ABS sensor as I broke it doing the wheel bearing.

And also had the gearbox scare as in the thread I started.

Just completed the internal muffler bypass ( sounds like and old school AMG now)

Next on the list disks and pads and getting the wiring done on the Techart fog / driving lights.

About 100K. The silicone bushings are replaceable but I haven't had to do anything with them yet.

Stop posting in km's, this is a serious forum, use serious units.

I bought mine with 139k MILES in Sept 2017. She's currently at 145k miles, seems to be very happy. Likes to romp, blasts past every damn thing.

cheers,
c

243k kms '09 Cayenne GTS

Daily driver including the frigid winters. I pull our travel trailer (5k lbs) and our boat with it with no worries.

All major components are original with all maintenance items provided by me the owner (Oils, brakes, spark pugs, filters etc).

Everything works per factory and expect it to go another 260k kms.
