Actually, I grew up in the country and live 25 miles out of town today. But I drive all places...not just the country, plus I have friends that live in quiet neighborhoods and it's nice to visit without frowning neighbors.
Where I live, all you'll hear are birds... Every now and then my hog will make a loud grunt, though.
But, then, at times the bark of a belt fed Browing 1919 will erupt. Nobody cares.
When I have the engine dyno singing, it can be heard 6 miles away, at one of my employees homes... He'll often call in the evenings, after I do a run, and say "what did it make?"
