Default Car cover?

Can anyone recommend a car cover that won't disintegrate? Any actually fits a 986?

Thanks.

Shorty after I bought my new 2002 Boxster I bought an outdoor Porsche car cover for my car. The cover fits very well and appeared to be quite durable.

I used it off and on for a while but got tired of the trouble to put it on and take it off and then it took up a lot of space in the front trunk, like almost all of the space.

I still have it somewhere boxed but never use it anymore.

But I would highly recommend it. It might be more expensive than other covers but it was well made, appeared to be durable.

(Bought one when I bought my 2008 Cayman S too but never got a chance to use it before I lost the car to an accident. Still have this cover somewhere too in a box.)

Thank for the reply.

Do you remember where you bought it?

I typically only drive mine during the weekend, so it sits outside in the sun all week and gets shat on...

I bought the Boxster Porsche cover at the Merriam KS Porsche dealer where I bought the Boxster.

The Cayman S Porsche cover I bought at my local (Livermore) Porsche dealer.

Here is a link to the Porsche cover:

You don't have to buy the cover at the dealer. You might check Suncoast or Pelican for what car covers they offer.

There could be 3rd party car covers that would work maybe just as well.

Here is a link to a site that offers covers for Porsches:

Just plug in "boxster car cover" into google and check out the links that come up.

Default Car Cover

I bought a Covercraft Noah cover for my 1999 base Boxster about a year ago and it fit well and has held up well so far.

I found a coupon code and paid a little less than $200 for it.
Hope this helps,
Phred

We have very well made car covers, indoor and outdoor, HERE. If you have any questions, let me know.

They've done all custom covers for our race cars:

Noah fabric used outdoors for 5 years including winters where I'd brush off 12" of snow or ice with a push broom. Good as new after all that time. Easy one man on and off. Elastic still good as new.

California Car Covers was the source.

Default Car cover?

I got my cover from California car cover. Really excellent stuff. My race car has no windows so it goes on every night at the track. They have a very good variety of material choices. Their base version is even better now than it was a few years ago. Good stuff. A lot of templates for various models and configurations and they do custom. They made mine from a custom template ( big wing) at no extra charge.
