Default resetting windows

anyone have experience where the windows are no longer in sync with their soft top? I have a 98 porsche boxster and I am having trouble with this issue. Recently, the passenger side window is starting to crap out . It will no longer go all the way down but does go down a bit when the window switch is pressed, this happened yesterday. It went all the way down and then just started to fail. I am thinking is the window regulator. any help would be appreciated!

Likely to be the regulator
The cables stretch and start messing up

Not a hard replacement. Takes about 45 minutes.
