Yes,you've done all the mods and machining to your crankshaft.You've cleaned it many,many times.You've inspected every surface using jeweller's glasses ,measured every journal on at least 3 axis .Now one final rinse in the parts washer.But what about any residual moisture in the oil-ways ?
The M96 crankshaft is a perfect fit in your wifes oven. Set it to 'Drying' & convect at 180 degrees F for 20 minutes .Allow to cool and seal in stretch wrap. I wonder if Raby uses this tip in his rebuild class?

Yes, lots of clean oil.I use newspaper saturated in oil before the Saran wrapping. What a lovely mess. Fortunately this is S.California so humidity is low -but I'm taking no chances.
