in the porsche community, my boxster may be "unrealistic" to drive, but as my daily driver you can't imagine how many head turners i get or continuous comments on how good it looks. So just the feeling that other people enjoy it on the streets is good enough for me. I drive it as hard as i drive my other cars and it still handles like a dream even when it's poked and flush =)

as far as as the vinyl edges, that's been taken care of.

Trust me, it is way worse. Roughly 1.5" ground clearance at its lowest point. The bottom's covered in more skid plates than a 4x4. I have the RX7 for track days...but nothing beats driving a rolling cartoon to work. Does it handle? No. Is it fast? No. A car needs neither of those attributes to be cool.
