I think I like it. A liile bit Carrera GT on the side scoops...
The wheels look too big on this car tho, I think those are 20's!
And, the ride hieght/gap is too much, not sporty at all.
Overall, kinda cool! BIG tho....
Makes room for a little baby boxster??
My gut is that time will show the current Spyder to be the high water mark for the Boxster line...I know I want one!
I tried to make mine into one. With all of my mods, I'll bet I'm prety close. Had a GREAT fall foilage mountain back road rip today!

i think hate it. the wheels / wheel arches are too big & make the car look shorter & squattier. it appears plasticized & MR2 like.
the smooth, pretty lines of the original 986 have given way to bulbous lumps and choppy transitions. also, the stance looks wierd, like the nose is elevated. i don't like the flattened traces around the wheel wells; reminiscent of the mitsubishi eclipse. the hips in the back have been flattened across the trunk (lexus SC). i don't like the flare at the bottom of the rear bumper.
overall, it doesn't look svelte anymore. the pure sports car that was the original 986 has slowly transformed into a bit of a pig. the design looke vaguely korean, like they took parts from an eclipse, an MR2 and the back of a lexus SC & welded them together.
overall, this thing doesn't look cohesive to me. maybe it will be different in person.

I like it but I like my Spyder more. I'm not thrilled with the fact that they're making the Boxster bigger, it's already too big!

You're all crazy, that is an incredibly beautiful car- best looking Boxster yet! The spoiler is a little weird, though. I don't like how it goes into the tail lights.

While I am sure it will be a great performer, I am not a fan.. Too much CGT influence (not a fan of the larger side vents/ridges in the doors); wheels and fenders do look a little out of scale. Indeed does look like a hyped up MR2 spyder.
Hopefully the "baby boxster" will be styled better
