Hello all- First time poster here, and it's a good one! Just picked up a 2012 Spyder after nearly a 2 month search. I came from a Honda S2000 that I had for 6 years.
I considered a variety of cars, 997 911S (CPO), M3, and even a Nissan GT-R.
In the end the Spyder had the best feel, best look, and provided the most excitement. Below are some picts. IMO its the best looking Porsche in production. It's Guards Red, 6 spd, sport buckets.

After you break it in, do NOT be scared to drive it hard. It is designed to be driven.
I have never been a fan of red cars but on occassion there is one that makes me question myself.... yours is simply spectacular.
Enjoy it.

The 1st Saturday car show is coming up at Brier Creek off of 540 this weekend if you're interested. The PCA guys usually meet there around 9 am and congregate for coffee at Jason's Deli. Lots and lots of great cars from other clubs and always a good time!

Its the lot starting just NW of Jason's Deli an extending North to Caribou Coffee closest to Breir Creek Pkwy. There's usually 200+ cars by 10:30 if the weather's good so it'll be hard to miss.

Like the other poster above, I am not a fan of red cars but this car looks fantastic in any color. I think it is (argueably) the best looking car in the pcar lineup, and most certainly best all around bang for the buck.
