You should be able to get it from the vin # as long as it is the original radio.

Hello,
If your radio is any of the models included, you should be able to obtain your
radio's model number and serial number from the instructions shown in this link
without removing from the dash.

https://rennlist.com/forums/7189538-post6.html

If you would like to post both the model number and serial number here,
I'll be delighted to provide your radio code.

Cheers

You should also be able to obtain code from dealer, but if it's any of the models that I
can provide through serial number, I'd feel so much better, if you get it for FREE also at
the dealership.

I have provided code for model CDR-220 before. Unfortunately the number you've quoted is not a
Becker serial number. Has this been derived from the display?

If it's not appearing on radio's display, you may need to remove radio from
dash, and post the numbers printed on label or stamped on the metal casing.

As quoted from link provided, Becker serial number should look like, as explained:-

"A typical example of becker numbers are as follows :
Type 1 has a split becker model and serial number such as
Model : BE0837 - Serial : Y1245784
Model : BE1122 - Serial : Y7654321
Type 2 has the becker serial number and model combined to form the complete serial number
Serial : BE411021234567
Serial : BE1234Y1234567 "

Cheers.

Yes that helps, although normally
Becker serial numbers are 8 digits
long.

I'll derive code based on least significant
digits.

Try code 9601

let me know how you get on.

Cheers.

I'm using '5028179' as your Becker serial number.

Is this the number that's appearing on your display, when following instructions
on previous link?

So you're getting display of radio stations etc..., but no sound.

Is this the case for both CD and radio modes?

If it is, make sure speakers plug / connectors are securely
connected at rear of head unit.

Haven't worked on Porsche sound systems. However, your
high-level head unit outputs will feed into your amplifier

It definately looks as if you have a problem with amplifier
power / connection.

Pleased to hear you've got radio unlocked, but here's
where I pass over your question to Rennlist community,
for members who will have more specific experience....

Cheers.

PS
There is key/tools for removing Becker radios - usually ebay.
