The factory amp has a special connector to plug in the amp. The amp is located just behind the spare tire, bolted to that ledge. When I got my car, someone had butchered the install of an aftermarket crap amp. I had to spend a few hours with the wiring diagram in the Bentley manual. don't untwist those wires until you have studied the wiring diagram. Things will be easier if you don't. but those are the wires that go to the speakers. Buy yourself a quality amp ( I used a Kenwood) and install that. Do you still have the factory stereo or an aftermarket?
