Here's my track day girlfriend. 
Bilstein PSS9's compliments of fellow RL'r Christian, who gave me a great deal. (as was the case on the GT3 seats he sold me also)

This company does NOT stand behind their products. I can't recommend them based on my experiences. The pipe welding work is beautiful, but they sub out their muffler welding to someone else who does sub-highschool level work. They refused to reimburse me the towing/labor charges when their new muffler seams burst making the car so loud as to be un-driveable on the streets. They did re-weld the muffler for me but refused to reimburse me the labor costs of the local shop to remove/reinstall. The owner is a schmuck. He cowered behind his warranty in refusing to reimburse me for labor.
Don't use them! I've been meaning to post a special thread about this company, but thought I would post my comments here just for the benefit of any unsuspecting potential customers who may use the RL search function to research this company.

We used the HR lowering springs for about 2 years on an 02S.
They are great for the track DE's and Ax - very stiff.
However, they are not so great for a daily driver - over bumps
and curbs and driveways - a real pain.
Ride quality for over the road touring is diminished a bit too, but more determined by the highway quality.
I guess it all depends on your intended use (?)

We DIY'd this job (2 days)- I would guess a Pro Tech could
do it in 3-5 hours.
Yes, an alignment is needed after the install.
You will be able to change the front camber for DE/Ax yourself
by loosening the top 3 bolts and moving the top of the strut with a big screw driver/pry bar. Be sure to mark the 2 spots
for return to the street set up.

Thanks for the info Roy, very helpful. That sounds like what I want, I don't mind giving up some comfort for track day performance. The best solution would be the PSS9's but it is also the most expensive one...I can get the H&R's for ~500 while the PSS9's are ~2000.
One more question...did the H&R's affect whether the car oversteered/understeered?

HR springs = under-steer/over-steer
We were running 245 front 285 rear R compound tires with max front neg camber and there was NO over/under-steer - like they say - like running on rails
With street tires(225/255) and using the HR springs there was no noticeable under/over-steer - but then we(son and I) don't push that hard on the street because we save it for the track.
My Son now has a 1978 911SC w/3.2 full track/race set up car.
I am the crew chief and he is the driver.
The Boxster is set back to all stock M030 suspension and Mich PS2 tires - great for touring and around town.
FYI here is a video of the Boxster on track chasing and catching a Cayman and a GT3(with street tires Mich Cups)
