Default CEL codes p1238, p0123

Hi all,
We started our '98 Boxster after sitting for two weeks, it ran rough, and ended up throwing the two codes in the title.

My question for the board is, has anyone else had this?
And
Where should I start troubleshooting?

There was no odd engine noise, although it did run real rough, like it had a miss-jetted carb (I know it's fuel injected, just from my MC experence)

Thanks in advance,

You sure that's what those codes mean? I thought P1128 and P1130 had something to do with the readings from the o2 sensors?

Ummm -OK, but that's not the codes he's reporting, unless I need new reading glasses

Thanks for the reply's, I was able to find the trouble codes, but wasn't so sure how to address the problem. I'll continue troubleshooting this weekend, and post up what I found and what happened. Again thanks for the reply's

Well I haven't been back to up-date this thread, but I'll share what I found.

I figured it was odd to get 2 weird codes, and have the car run rough after it ran fine just up until that event. Well we opened the engine compartment to find mice had gotten into some wiring, and opened several circuits!

In short we had the TPS wires chewed through, as well as cylinder #2's injector.

Well we ordered a 'sacrificial' wiring harness from Oklahoma Foreign from a similar car and will be making splices this coming weekend!

Oh yea, we bought several mouse traps as well, but I don't think the little bastards have stuck around!

Thanks for the update. I hate it when guys troll for advice but then don't add to the knowledge base by reporting findings!
Cheers

No problem Randy,
I wish I'd have gotten to it earler, but we've been too busy to tear into the Boxster until now.
