could it be a bridgestone re960 problem with swaying?
in the past couple weeks i have replaced the cv boots, rr lower control arm and rear tires. I also had an alignment and state inspection performed.
The alignment was off quite a bit in the rear and a little in the front.
I purchased bridgestone re960 pole postions a couple weeks ago.
The problem i am having is swaying. When i am driving on the highway at speed i need to keep a prettty steady grip on the wheel to prevent it.
I notice when i am going around corners that i need to slow down to go thru them. If i don't and go too fast through them, the trac control system kicks in. Now i can drive thru these same turns faster in my 141k 99 es300 with snow tires.
Can it really be the tires that are making it do this? It did not do it before and i am concerned.
The alignment was performed at an indie mechanic who specializes in these cars.
Please help

I have run those tires for over a year now and experience no such issues. You can definitely tell they are all seasons under hard cornering, but that is just the tread block shift under heavy load. Since I only have the one set of wheels and tires, I've even tracked the RE960's. My wife did a track day in the rain on them as well.
On the freeway and normal cruising they are fine. Sounds like your rear toe could be off.

If I have misunderstood then go have the alignment checked again.

I vote alignment. What are the front toe numbers?
$425 is a huge amount for two used tires regardless of mileage. If they are less than 3 years old from manufacture date (on the sidewall as a week# and a year) and they are in perfect condition than shoot for 50% of the price listed on TireRack's site. If the TireRack does not list them then try DiscountTireDirect. If not there either than they are probably discontinued shoot for $50/tire. Those are fair prices. If you have some sucker who is willing to pay more then go for it but you are ripping him off.

I am still going with the fact that you are running the Dunlop's on the front, and all season Bridgestone's on the rear. Mis matching tires front to back is a huge issue on any car, but especially on a sports car. You didn't have the problem before the tires, then you put them on and had the problem... ergo the problem is the tires. Probably the cheapest fix now is to put a set of the Bridgestone's on the front as well and it will balance the car back out.
