I'm a big fan of FVD - and have purchased quite a lot from them - but the front vent just doesn't look right. They took a 997/987 style vent and grafted it on a 996/986 nose. It's too far forward from the hood line and looks tacky. A better option would have been to fashion a 996 GT2 vent onto the same bumper.
Love the rear bumper though.

Hello All,
The front bumper, side skirts and rear bumpers are made of GFK, this should help:
GFK or "Glasfaserverstärkte Kunststoffe" is best described as "Fiberglass-reinforced plastics". They are a fiber plastic group from plastic (e.g., polyester resin, Epoxidharz or polyamide) and fiberglass*. Many German Tuners have used this material for years now as it has a more elastic "give" and is less prone to shattering than pure fiber glass, it has greater anti-coorosive properties and ultimately lasts longer.
If you would like more information check Wikipedia under "Glasfaserverstärkte Kunststoffe" this should be very helpful, although you may have to translate.
Thanks,
Rhonda

I just wanted to post some pictures sent in by one of our clients with a 2002 Boxster S. This is the complete kit without the front vent.

Thanks Mike! I think so as well. I would really like to see the kit on a car that's lowered, with some spacers and a nice exhaust with big dual tips. I think the kit would really look exceptional then...

Sorry I was asking for pics of the 987 gt3 bumper, it has the lights and looks better with in IMHO. What's the latest prices on these, I might need 1x986 front and 1x987 front, same for rears as well. Do I qualify for PCA club race price?

Fornowh,
Thanks for your interest. I would highly suggest getting a quote from your local body shop as the bumper must be fitted to the car then painted. The fitment is very good but it is a Glass Fiber Composite peice and is best to fit then paint.
Thanks,
Rhonda

pm me with your email address and I can send you an offer with special package pricing. You would certainly qualify for the PCA discount.
Thanks,
Rhonda
