Default I'd guess the stock ones are pretty good. Can't believe Porsche would go...

to all the trouble to develop a high output engine only to undo that with lousy converters.

However, if you've mod'd the engine to flow more air higher flow converters -- higher than stock that is -- would probably be a good idea.

Not all after market high flow converters are made equal, that I know. But I have no recommendations.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Not here... NHP 200 cell primary cats and secondary bypass pipes. Installed 1 year ago with original O2 sensor, never any CEL. Oh- and my car is a '03 S.

As I mentioned above, I'm running 200 cell primary cats and secondary bypass pipes into a GHL muffler. It is much louder, but sounds amazing... Very exotic. Performance-wise, significantly better across the rev-range, most notably in the midrange.... About 3k to 6k.

Not true. This only applies if you use low quality cats that seem so much cheaper than Fabspeed's or other competitors. The HJS 200 Cell cats that Fabspeed uses will not trigger a CEL and sound absolutely great. They are as durable, efficient and high flow as you can get while maintaining a working cat.
