Default Painting your center console

All-

I am thinking about painting my center console Artic Silver to match the exterior color. Anyone done this ? Your source? Pictures?

Prices are all over the place - so any advise is good!

Happy 4th of July.

Pricing should be on his website when you click the order button. I bought my center console from him 3 yrs. ago, and it still looks new. It was $380 at the time.

Boxtaboy-

I think it is the same price. I plan on calling Eric Monday to order the console.

In addition i am going to do the bumperettes in Artic Silver and 2 bumper plugs where the front license plate bracket used to be - oh and the keyhole on the driver's side since i always use my remote.

Will post pics after complete.

I got my bumperettes from Eric years ago too. Great paint match, and also still look brand new:

Saaaawwweeeettt!

How do you like your sport exhaust? Sound? Pricing?

Looks great! Does the instrument panel rings snap right on?

Thx. The Dansk sports exhaust usually retails for around $1K on many websites, but I called one of the dealers and they sold it to me for $750 because they had a lot in stock. The Dansk is throatier and louder than the stock muffler over 4K rpms, but sounds just about the same at lower revs, and there is no resonance/drone. If you want a screaming exhaust, the Dansk is not for you.

The instrument gauge rings have to be installed by using either double sided emblem tape or silicone glue. I suggest you use the double sided emblem tape, as it is a cleaner install (no goopy mess), and holds fine.

There sure are some nice looking Boxsters. Here is my silver console that I purchased from www.dps-motorsports.com for $382.00 several years ago. Not sure what Dayton's prices are now.

I have an extra center console that I removed from my SpecBoxster project. If you'd like to try painting one yourself and want to keep your exisiting console, I'd be willing to sell mine for a reasonable price. No idea what its worth, just make a reasonable offer if interested and its yours.
