Yea homie, where's the Skyline? Can't walk over to your neighbors house for pictures of a Skyline, seeing as they aren't a dime a dozen yet.

Where the hell do you get this crap about a 996 being a poser's car?!?!?

Go buy a Honda.

I second that 100% a real poseur car is a suped up Honda Civic, the Boxster may be the cheaper of Porsches when it comes to being new but it is no way a poser car, half the kids who are posers can't afford that car and the rich kids who could own one may get something else instead.

Guys,

Just passing thru from the 993 board to the Off Topic and stumbled accross this. I've seen some silly threads before, and quite a few on the Boxster/S board (usually started by non-986 owners), but this one takes the biscuit !

You'll be happy to know that I have put my fellow Aussies to bed now, so unless they wet the bed and wake up, they won't lower the tone any more.

Good night Ferrari/j959 the bad men won't shout at you anymore. Seriously boys, you have the hat trick now (Others, look it up - it is a cricket term), you have lowered the reputations of Ferrari drivers, Nissan drivers, and Australians all in one go. Well done and good night.

Come back (yes, come back) when you add something to the board.

cheers

Quite true Richard. And to top it off, I will never look at a ladder in the same light ever again.....

Sad thing is that these threads actually interest me in a perverse way...and given I dont yet own a Boxster this is all I can contribute....

hell, if i had a 996 i would be more than happy to be labelled a poser.

i could pose all the way to the fun roads in my very slick carrera chuckling to myself as young boys in their integras and civics with airplane sized rear wings revved their fart-cans at me in an earnest attempt to grasp the knowledge of what a sports car really is. there is a difference between posing in a porsche and being a poser in a porsche.

pose away.

Finn, I think we have a double Mr_Ferrari and j959...and was it Blackjack, or Captain Jack?

Best of everything this year...

damn, this thread is still going...

richard you moron, most people misunderstood my opening thread....it was a joke....i was visting the 996 forum and made a joke....

if you read my reply later on you would know that...

i do not consider any car to be a 'posers' car...

just some people who drive them...

many people get a porsche for the overall package (or just the for the experience),

however there are some who DO get a car just for the looks, image, etc...

as for the ferraris, i love em...

like i love everything italian

hell if this year works out like its meant to (does it ever really???) ill go for a 360

the 'joke' was in bad taste, esp considering it was posted on a board full of overly defensive owners...

the 360 will be full size, waiting for prices to drop to around 300k AU (about 160 US)

i might be immature at times, hell im 19...

however many people on this board relly need to loosen up a bit...

as far as the moron comment, it was a rash insult in the heat of the moment...what you said was insulting

as far as saying i post under a different name, look at the posts...we are obviously 2 different people...

as far as the references to me being a kid, well i am, i just happen to make alot of money at the same time...

please kill this thread, its old and im sure everyones sick of it
