996- the posers car???

i think the 996 might be more of a posers can the the 996.. ....

- they talk about the 'colour' of their car too much....

Nah, playing blackjack for a living is posing. Well, at least saying so in your signature is.

Whats the difference between a 996 and a 996? :)

j959 11-16-2002 11:01 PM

i wish i drove a 959...

i mean a 986 ;)

blackjack is not posing....its stressful and hard work, im not going to get into an arguement over whether it is actually work, or whether you can make a living off it...obviously i do :p

j959 11-16-2002 11:05 PM

but if i DID have a 959, i would drive it, as much as i could, even daily if poss...

it IS meant to be driven....

Hey j959,

how's your 993, I mean GT2, no, I think it was 944, or was it 996, with turbo, oops, with blower, no, with blower & turbo project going?

Got any disposable camera pictures yet?

William S 11-18-2002 03:41 AM

Perhaps "blackjack" is an Australian term for being a 14 year old who lives at home and rides a skateboard ...

NoSubstitute 11-18-2002 07:14 PM

well this thread wasn't worth looking at....

I think calling any Porsche a poser's car is very ignorant...

Where the hell do you get this crap about a 996 being a poser's car?!?!?

Go buy a Honda.

Good call..............I am still waiting for the pics too.......

Silverbullet951 11-19-2002 03:56 PM

Wait, I thought it was 4 blowers and two turbos? I'm confused here :)

j959 11-19-2002 09:36 PM

you this always seems to happen....and only with 2 or three different people...they blow things out of proportion, take things too seriously and then make personal attacks....

im actually 19, i do actually play blackjack as a living, and was never serious about any 944 engine (which you all seem to think i was)

i was interested in using a 930 engine on a 911, with 993 suspension, and instead of getting the turbo to spool up quicker, put a blower on instead....this is not as crazy as it seems...i would not be the first person to think of this, many others have, even HKS, its just that its a complicated setup...

(think a 930 with normal top end, but no lag...would be very streetable and eliminate the edge NA and v8 cars have over a turbo car

as far as the people who are always hassling me, its always the same people, ive got nothing to prove, go p!ss of someone else

this topic is just turning into another flaming session,
