Post Body kits to enhance that Porsche "hour glass" figure???

I love the looks of the older 993 "wide body" cars but am interested in the improved ride/performance of the Boxster S. Are there any kits out there to give the wide body appearance to a Boxster?

Check out the latest issue of "911 and Porsche World" for the article on the Boxster GT3 RS. It has a wide-body kit, and from the sound of it you could buy the parts from the shop. I don't believe that it's quite as curvy as a 993, but it's wider nonetheless.

Here's a link to the online article:

Egads that thing is ugly, I much more prefer the subtle yet seductive lines of the GT3 setup like mine.

Ken...I agree. Not exactly what I had in mind. FVD is supposed to have a new kit and should e-mail photos to me early next week. If they are worth while, I will post them here.

Ken, where did you get your body kit? Is that aftermarket or Porsche...? Beautiful.

100% Porsche baby! That is the 996 GT3 nose and the Boxster Aerokit 2 side skirts, all factory Porsche parts... subtle and sweet...

I also have the GT3 nose and GT3 skirts stretched to fit in addition to Tech-art intakes, '03 tail lights, painted bumperettes and Kinesis K58 wheels. IMHO those give the Boxster the best modified look. I have seen the Turbo nose and fenders on the Boxster and that just doesn't appeal to me as well. I also haven't seen a spoiler on the Boxster that appeals to me. Link to pics of my car are below. Cheers.

Our car is obviously not a concours street car but this is another look at going widebody. The whowl car is wider not add on flairs. We are having 18/11 fronts and 18/13 rear rims made for the car. Here are some pics:

Techart makes a widebody kit for the boxter. It's almost identical to mine. It looks very very sweet. Not sure if you're into the look, but check it out or call By Design. The kit is 12-13k installed. Allows you to fit 19 inch 335 inch on your rears. It's so bad ***. Check out my car on a post on january 27th 2003. It looks the same, but on a boxter and without the wing. Cameron
