Passenger side mirro

Passenger side mirro
I brought my car to get all the wires replaced on driver's side and passenger doors due to the wires corroding which made the windows not work . After the passenger side was fixed the mechanic told me he noticed the mirror did not work but the driver's side did. My question is it possible for the swtich to go bad on one side. The mechanic suggest that was the problem but I want to know if anyone else had this issue. The wires and seals were updated to porsche standards . I checked the fuse and it is not blown .

You sure that the mirror hasn't just popped out of the track behind the glass in the mirror housing?
So the motor and mech are moving, but the plastic link to the mirror is not connected.
Had it happen on my Boxster, when someone hit the mirror.
Didn't look any different, but it didn't move, and when I tried moving the mirror by hand, it moved really easily because it was no longer connected to the tracking mech.
You could also hear the mirror motor if you had someone try the mirror adjust controls while you listened next to the faulty mirror.
Solution was to pull out the mirror glass, make sure all the mech was ok, then re-attach so it was locked in again.
Took 10 mins - but took some nerve, because you have to pull like hell to get the mirror off!

not do sound stupid but i rarely move the side mirrors so i never noticed if they worked or not. I mean the driver's side worked when i got it back from the repair cause i had to adjust it but the other one never used it or checked to see it worked . I will try and listen if it's making any noise but I don't recall there being any noise when I last tried tio move it. I bought a digital multimeter to test the wires but any other suggestions if the mirror isn't off the track?

ok car is at home i am at hq .. but i will check that.. my dumb *** bought a switch the mechanic told me that is was it.The wires that run through the door to the window motor have anything to do with the mirror. Cause they replaced 43 wires and connectors. Porsche said that it needed to be updated the wiring harness for the window motor wires and seals because water gets in and corrodes them.the reason i ask about the 43 wires is there is 2 sets of wires . The one with 43 and another with several wires. I have the reciept of all the part numbers of what i got to replace both doors.
