FYI this was in my inbox this morning:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for using our online contact form. Some time ago you completed a contact form for more information on the Zeintec Zeintop for the Porsche Boxster(TM) conversion. We promised to keep you up to speed with the progress of this exciting new product.

We are entering the final phase of product preparation for shipment and urge you to remain patient and stay focused on the benefits the Zeintop brings to your Porsche.

Our website will soon begin to show similar evolution and will include new features such as a news facility, gallery, distributor and investor log-in areas as well as where to buy the Zeintop, worldwide.

We look forward to bringing you something different

The Zeintec Team
Zeintec Automotive Technologies(Pty)Ltd

I hope this isn't like the Dension iceLINK that has been promised for years on end!

Before I'd spend that kind of money on a top, I'd want to see one on a Boxster up close and personal, and I'd want to see the install instructions.

Does anybody know if this top comes with a storage cover and/or a dolly ala the Porsche hardtop? Or is it expected that it gets stored like a Mercedes top, i.e.hanging from the ceiling.

The documents that they sent me do not indicate that any sort of cover or dolly is included in that pricing. They do apparently offer something though, because there is a reference to contacting them for summer storage "details".

Also...there is no US distributor. The top would be shipped from France.

Uncle Bob: Your car was shipped from Europe and only cost a few hundred bucks. ;-)

Hey Guys! Maybe we can get a group price on these tops? Maybe someone who had contact should check it out. We could be their SHOW CARS for the USA.

I'm reviving this 6 month old thread after I saw a post by a guy looking for a Boxster hardtop. Anyway, does anybody have an update on the Zeintop? Has anybody seen a production version in person? Thanks.

Yup! I saw your post and it reminded me of the Zeintop. I agree that $5,000 is really expensive but that top totally changes the look of the car -- makes it look Cayman-like, no? I just wonder if it looks as good in person as it does in the computer models.

Quick Reply: Zeintop !
