Default Anybody Else Who Doesn't Like the Name, "Boxster"?

I don't like that name. I don't want to call my car anything, "..ster". I think that I can get a "986" emblem somewhere. Right? Anybody else feel like me?

When I had the Carrera badge on my 996 I had a co-worker tell me they thought I owned a 911, not a Carrera. Ha!
My 996 is now de-badged.
I prefer de-badged cars anyways.
The thing about the Boxster name is you have to search for "Boxster" "Boxter" and "986" when searching for parts on Craigslist.
I've gotten some good deals because people listed "Boxter" parts on Craigslist and no on ever contacted them.

Never really cared for the name either. I refer to mine as a 986, which makes sense considering there are several versions of Boxster now.

The only thing that bothers me about it, is how people, who should know better, miss-spell it. otoh, my plate is POR986S

Yes! No name and no bumperettes (and yes, it’s filthy - drove to MD on the rain on Weds).

Looks nice.
I especially like the bumperette delete.

The front emblem is held on by two screws through the hood. I didn't want to have to mess with filling and painting so it's still there.

Not sure why anyone would want to debadge the Porsche portion of a Porsche. It's name most strive to own someday.

If you take all the emblems off the car, especially the Porsche crest, you might as well tell people it's a Miata. That's what they'll think anyway.

You should leave the front emblem, IMHO.
