Default Iso: leather sun visors

How common was this as an option? Non-existent? I hate the ****ty leatherette visors in my S. Guessing finding these is next to impossible.

I'd share that guess. Until you posted this, I didn't even know that was an option. 986 731 980 06 or 986 731 981 06 are the listed part numbers (with various letter codes for colors)

I know I googled just looking for part nos and started seeing them in metropol and boxster red for like $2k - absolutely insane obviously. Didn’t see black but I’m sure still stupid expensive.

Default Welllll

Interesting. Drivers side $1500 regardless of color. Passenger side roughly half as much, black more expensive than all the other colors.

porsche, why the **** do you hoard parts like this?!

Would suggesting that the original covers be reupholstered by a, you know, upholstery shop, be too obvious?

Might save a few bucks. Get the color you like. In leather, vinyl, or other covering.

Too obvious?

I'm not a fan of the look of custom parts; if someone was established that had reproduced these I'd totally be into it.

I might run it by my upholstery guy though just to see what he thinks.

So, NOT too obvious, thanks man.

Good. A member with a sense of humor... too.

I'd be interested in what price your guy quotes for the job.

Cheers!

Probably best as said above, if you want leather, to have an upholstery shop recover them in leather.
