Default Installed CF Steering Wheel

I installed a black leather/carbon fiber steering wheel on my Boxster today. Thought you folks might like to see it on a Boxster. I got the installation instructions from an inquiry to the 996 board as the 993/Boxster/996 wheels are interchangeable.

The CF wheel is a work of art, and really dresses up the interior, IMHO. In the photo it looks gray, as it’s washed out by the flash. It’s actually black.

The install was easy with the instructions from boarders. Hardest part was dealing with the Torx screws that hold in the air bag. I’m waiting for a Metropole Blue/CF 3-point wheel for my Turbo, which I ordered from Gert Carnewal last August. Apparently there’s a long wait for them. The black wheel in the attached photo I found while surfing Ebay, not looking for anything in particular.

David, no I don't mind your asking. I was the only bidder, and paid the minimum bid of $1000, for the wheel and airbag.
