I threw my fastest run up on youtube:

My dad was down for the weekend, and took a lot of great photos:

Lines are not bad - it is hard to tell with a limited field of view and knowing exactly where your corners are. That is one weird course...seems like a sea of cones - maybe it was more logical in person.
Maybe tape some foam over the mic to help reduce that wind noise. I'd love to hear the engine more.
I could not nail down lines properly, and car was loosing rear end a lot. But it is a learning process anyway.

June 4 (only half the normal lot, so looped around, not a fun course)
June 5. 9th in PAX
June 11. 5th in PAX (was 2nd after morning runs, fell to 5th after the 7 afternoon runs)
June 12. 4th in PAX (missed top PAX by 0.056 seconds, coned away the run that would have got it)
That last event especially was a hoot. The surface doesn't have much grip, so it's easy to get lots of yaw angle all the time, and the street tire cars (like mine unfortunately) make tons of noise all the way around. I was so close (0.056s) to taking top PAX over the big Hoosier-clad Corvettes (all the top 10 other than me were on R compounds). 5 others in the top 8 in PAX at that event are planning to go to Packwood so we'll see how they do. They'll like the surface better I'm sure

Edit: no videos, but we did a test-and-tune on Friday before the event -- 25 timed runs. I could have had plenty more if I'd wanted, but there's only so much I was learning on the same course, tires to think about, and people to BS with.

I had cooling issues, and didn't do timed runs. This is an early practice run.
My car is a factory stock 2004 996 C4S with Yokohama AD08 tires as the only change. My 11th autocross with this car (and this year). It's getting to be time for Evolution school I think. I doubt I'll get to any this year though.
Two unfortunate things about the event: (1) due to airport complications, right after Saturday's first group (mine) ran we had to pack the whole course up and make a new one in a different location. So the three run groups got different courses. (2) the surface was awful on Saturday: sand, grit, clag, sealant, etc. Sweeping helped for about the first 10 cars then it was all back again. My car handled differently than any other event I've done -- pushing like a pig in anything slow, twitchy rear in anything fast. I finally managed to spin my 996 on one run -- surprisingly the first time I've done it. If you followed everyone else's line it was ok, but try to take a different line or find yourself off-line by just a little and you had to shut everything down, slowly make your way back, and then get on it. Just awful.
My first run (of six) was my fastest. The later runs looked much better (especially in the back slalom) but I must have been dying in the tight first sections where I'd consistently plow like a John Deere on the tight corners and just wasn't able to put power down. Turns out that first run was good enough for 1st PAX and 2nd RAW through the first four runs in our group. A couple other drivers cleaned up on their 6th runs and I dropped to 3rd or so in PAX. Noting this was only the stock and street touring run group.
Much better traction. 14th in raw, 6th in PAX. Not sure if I should have held 1st gear through the inner section or not, and I was definitely too tentative and could have had a better line through the fast middle section.

Fun course for a tight space. Short times (high 30s average) meant we got in a LOT of runs (16!) HOT today though - low 90s and LOTS of humidity. Most folks didn't make all their runs, they were too hot. Nice thing about having it at a resort - pool access!
Fastest lap below. 1st in class, 5th overall.
Super Stock 996 GT3 on 2010 Hoosier R6s (245/295)
2nd in class, 7th in PAX. Commentary welcome. First time on R-comps.They are old, but I got them hot. Car had a lot of corner exit understeer. Usually run it with 235/285 Yoko AD08s, and it's more neutrally balanced. Trying to see if I should run a 255/295 setup for 2011.
