In Az I run PCA. I have done a couple SCCA events, but they have much less run time and the PCA events are just more fun. Not as competitive, but I don't do autocross for the hard competition anymore. I do it just for fun anyway.

Ripken Stadium is about two hours from dowtown Ocean City. If was a straight shot with no traffic lights and a decent speed limit, you could probably do it in 90 minutes.

I run both PCA & SCCA all events (except in the rain), all season.
I actually enjoy SCCA more as I have to work my a$$ off at PCA. By comparison, just chasin' cones for a couple hours is a snap.

Usually manage to "get out" some to the North & South. With the SCCA, Mather AFB, in CA (200 drivers & a great course) where I did decent & PNWR at Bremerton....where I stunk up the joint...I may get up there again Sept 3, I couldn't do any worse. .

I've been autoX'ing since '99, unfortunately they've all been in front wheel drive Volkswagens, I am just now learnig to autoX a rear wheel drive 944. What a blast. Ran it once so far with some Bridgestone RE950's all around I felt like I was sliding on ice all the way around. Next weekend I'll have Victoracers on and we'll see how that goes.

I've been autoX'ing with a local San Antonio club, it's very laid back and we get about 7 runs on average. There is a local PCA that does autoX events but I haven't run one of them yet. Maybe next time.

Scout's honor, I will not do that to your Hoosiers! Honestly

Mr. Conway? Why is he driving your car?

I need a ride. I really need a ride. For this Sunday and, hopefully, for the rumble.

Anyone else plan on being at Ripken Stadium August 7th? I just replaced my tie rods so I am definitely going to be able to make it. Now if only I could afford tires.

There are several places in NJ where a few clubs AX. PCA-NNJR, NASA, and M-club play at Giant's Stadium parking lot, E. Rutherford, NJ, as well as the North overflow parking lot at the PNC Arts Center.

SCCA (and NASA, I think) plays at the Englishtown parking lot.

I believe the BMW club plays somewhere in Camden.

For a complete list of AX events in the Tri-state (NJ-NY-CT) area, click on:
www.autox4u.com. Perry has a comprehensive list. Not a weekend goes by without an event here or there...

Oh yeah, M-club had an AX this past Friday afternoon (7-29) and I just got back from the NNJR PCA event this Saturday. Both were at the Meadowlands.

The next NNJR-PCA event is next weekend. Check our website (www.nnjr-pca.com) for details.

Hope to see you out there soon!
-Z-man.

To those of you who autoX a NA 944, what class do you run? I'm putting mine in CSP just because I have the power steering diabled. I'd like to lighten it up some, but can't find a class for it past CSP, except for Mod and I don't want to got there. Am I missing a class? I'd like to remove my rear seats and any other dead weight if I can.

Thanks,
