Default Replace speakers in my 991

I have a 2104 991 with the Bose system. It is not very good with base and not that pleased overall. A guy at the stereo store said it was wired with Fiber and he would have to re-wire everything to replace the speakers. Is that so????
I think if I could just replace the speakers I have including the bass I would get a good improvement. Thoughts?

I don't want to let them to take my car apart and replace wires.

Nice looking car!
Not likely that there's any fiber anymore.
The only thing that ever had it was the cd changer & I don't think it's even an option anymore.
Stereo dude is just trying to sell you stuff.
Never seen a 991 taken apart yet so no idea as to fitment.
Bass is always a difficult thing with a cab.
No cabin to contain sound and minimal space for a sub woofer.

I say deal with it. There's a reason car stereo places have disappeared. Cars are far too advanced, too much integration with other functionality. You are crazy if you let him or anyone else mess with it.

See if NAV-TV makes a module that will use your existing MOST fiber.

Although it will never be like it was before, there are many car stereo places thriving. The only thing that doesn't get touched and is far too integrated is the actual stereo/headunit. Speakers and amplifiers are still a very common upgrade.

Bose system uses 2ohm speakers. Putting in a set of standard 4ohm speakers will cause a volume issue.
Even if it had fiber, speakers are still your normal analog wiring.
