Default Speaker repair

One of the original rear speakers in my 968 is rattling. I would like to get it repaired. Any suggestions on where? It is an original Blau unit used in the later 944s as well. Should I look for a used one?
Thanks

Don't know if he does smaller speakers, but his work is excellent. Can't hurt to call.

Is it making noise because the surround has disintergrated? If so buy the kit and do it yourself. It's pretty straight forward!

Kevin,
Yes, that's all. Where would one find a kit and what is the job like?
Thanks
Jeff

If it's the rubber/foam around the rim and the cone is ok, then yes, google "speaker surround kits"

If you need a new woofer, then (assuming the whole speaker was well designed) you need some care in matching the parameters of the old one. That might be hard unless it has a model number or there's a listing for your speaker.

Here is an example, ther are plenty of others. If you know the size of your cones you should be able to match.
