Default Thinking of selling my Apogee Duetta Signatures

We're putting our house on the market in a few weeks and, if by some miracle it sells, my wife doesn't want to have loudspeakers 3 feet from the wall in her new home. My ears are shot, so it's not worth putting up a fight. A guy I work with wants to buy them, but they are relatively rare and don't come up for sale that often. Any experts out there with some pricing ideas? I wouldn't want either of us to feel cheated, so I thought some third party input seemed like a good idea. Don't follow audio/video much at all, so don't even know what chat rooms to check out for realistic info.
Purchased new from Golden Gramophone in Akron in 1991 and haven't moved since they were placed then. Anthracite (black) in nearly new condition. Have both original boxes with shipping label. One small imperfection on one of the horizontal ribbons (bottom left speaker). Never driven hard and still produce an incredible sound field. There were $4K new in 1991 or about $72K today after the latest "quantitative easing".
Any constructive advise appreciated. Thanks in advance...

I meant "advice", of course.

Nice.

One of my pet peeves.

Just as bad is using loose instead of lose.

Thanks. Perfect. A good reference point.

And thanks to you also. How about "I could care less" when people really mean "I couldn't care less" - drives me bonkers.

Actually aren't both acceptable?
If you say "I couldn't care less" it means you don't care at all, and so could not care any less because you'd be going negative if you did.

If you say "I could care less" it means you could afford to care even less than you do, since it's so unimportant.

"I couldn't care less" means exactly that; "I could care less" means that you DO care something about whatever the subject at hand is, when in fact people saying that almost always mean to say that they couldn't care less. So, no, both aren't acceptable if you are trying to convey a feeling of utter indifference to a subject. At least that's how I learned it way back when even public schools taught grammar - I "seen" it for myself :-)
BTW, I think my wife might let me keep the speakers.

Years ago, I worked with one of the owners of Apogee and a couple of the engineers.
Those are one of my favorite speakers and should be at the upper end of the prices given, especially for someone who really enjoys the sound from those speakers.
GLWS.

Thanks, but it's actually GLWKT - good luck with keeping them. My wife is softening and may let me keep them if the new house has a non-major room to put them in. They are worth way more to me than $2500.
